Who can perform a search within the Marketplace & Chemical Services Directory? 

SOCMA’s Marketplace & Chemical Services is open to the general public.  Anybody interested in finding a top-notch chemical manufacturer, distributor or industry service provider will be able to search the Marketplace. 
 

My company is not a SOCMA Member.  Can I set up a profile for my company?

Yes.  Non SOCMA members may have a listing within the Marketplace. You will need to have a subscriber account in order to set up a company profile and post announcements or business opportunities within the Marketplace & Chemical Services Directory.  Introductory annual subscription rate until December 31, 2012 is $2500.  (Regular rate is $5000.)  SOCMA Members receive a profile as part of their member benefits package.  Click here to subscribe or click here to join SOCMA.
 

Who can manage a company’s profile and how?

Both SOCMA Members and Marketplace Subscribers have their assigned ‘Official Representative’. This representative serves as the administrator of the company profile.  When they are logged in to the Marketplace, they will see “Edit” buttons on their company’s profile page.  Clicking on these edit buttons will bring them to the editor page where they can update their company’s information 24/7.

How can a potential customer or business partner contact our company?

We have set up several web contact forms to assist site visitors in communicating with SOCMA Members and Marketplace Subscribers.  These forms allow site visitors to send facilitated email messages to the company’s official representative without providing the official rep’s email address.  The recipient of the email will be able to respond to the message sender directly at his or her discretion.
 

Can a user contact other company employees listed on a SOCMA Member‘s company profile?

Yes.  This feature is available to other SOCMA Members and Marketplace Subscribers only.   We have set up several web contact forms to assist users in communicating with SOCMA Members and Marketplace Subscribers.  These forms allow users to send facilitated email messages to company employees within the marketplace without providing any email address.  The recipient(s) of the email will be able to respond to the message sender directly at his or her discretion.
 

Are employees’ email addresses made available to the public?  

No. We value your privacy.  Employees’ email addresses are hidden from Marketplace user’s view. 
 

Who can post Announcements and Business Opportunities?

Employees of a SOCMA Member company with a SOCMA login account and Marketplace Subscribers may post announcements and resources such as press releases, general announcements, white papers, case studies, and Innovations Posters (Innovations Poster Pavilion is an optional feature for Subscribers, free to SOCMA Members).

What types / categories of Business Opportunities can a SOCMA Member or a Marketplace Susbcriber post?

SOCMA Members and Marketplace Subscribers may post the following Business Opportunities:

  • Interest in Buying / Selling Chemical, Surplus Chemicals and Equipment
  • Seeking / Offering Expertise
  • General Business Opportunity / Partnership

What are the specifications for posting Business Opportunities?

When posting Business Opportunities, please provide the following:
 
  • Title of Business Opportunity
  • Type / Category of Business Opportunity
  • Post Date (default date) / Remove Date (optional)
  • Description - Brief or full text description about the Business Opportunity.
  • Supporting files:
    • Up to 4 Images per Announcement (optional)
      • Maximum image file size: 2 MB
      • Allowed file types: .png .gif .jpg .jpeg
    • Up to 4 Document Files per Announcement (optional)
      • Maximum document file size: 2 MB
      • Allowed file types: .txt .pdf .doc .docx .xls .xls .xlsx .ppt .pptx
      • Unsecured files preferred.
 

What types of Announcements or Shared Resources can a SOCMA Member or a Marketplace Subscriber post?

SOCMA Members and Marketplace Subscribers may post the following:

  • Press Releases
  • General Announcements
  • Shared Resources - White Papers, Case Studies, Company Brochures, Presentations, etc.
  • Innovations Posters (Free to SOCMA Members; Annual Subscription required for Marketplace Subscribers)

When posting Announcements, please provide the following:

  • Title of Announcement
  • Type of Announcement
  • Post Date (default date) / Remove Date (optional)
  • Description - Brief or full text description about the Announcement.
